Families with children make up 1/3 of the homeless population in Marion and Polk County.

HOW DOES FAMILY PROMISE WORK?

Mobilizing our community to end family homelessness is a lot of work.

We put together an animated video to better tell our story and highlight the promise we have for families in the mid-Willamette Valley.

Josh, Olivia and Phillip

A no-cause eviction uprooted three-year-old Phillip and his parents Josh and Olivia. With nowhere else to go, they joined the Interfaith Hospitality network.

Josh and Olivia spent every day looking for more stable employment and saving up their money. Eventually, their hard work paid off, and the family was accepted into a two-bedroom apartment. The day the family got their keys, Phillip ran from room to room, excitedly proclaiming, "my kitchen! My bathroom!" as his parents beamed.

Phillip has a safe, warm room he can call his own. Phillip's parents can rest easy, knowing he will always wake up in his own bed.
